After many discussions, procrastinations, and bickering, we've decided to give it a try: we won't use antifouling* and we'll take advantage of being able to run aground to give the hull a good scrub!

D+53 so far, so good, and sometimes the hull is even cleaner than we are!

  • a biocidal anti-fouling paint that prevents shellfish and algae from taking up residence on your hull, a very practical paint but harmful to the environment so only needs to be cleaned on shipyard!

Well. There we go. It's hard to accept that we're no longer on the smallest (and cutest) of all ships. We'll have to get used to the immense majesty of our new, brightly colored super-yacht!!

Thank you Sweety !

New program, new boat

A tribute to our first sailboat, the one that has been with us for seven years now.

It's undoubtedly always heartbreaking to sell a sailboat, but she wouldn't come with us for the next program...!

So thank you, Sweety, for protecting us in your whale's belly,

Thank you for enduring everything with us,

For being such a good boat,

Thank you for teaching us how to draw ;) and for inspiring us so much!

We wish fair winds to the most beautiful boat !

Stay with us to follow the preparation of the new boat and the even colder sailing trips when we're ready (you've noticed how much we loved the cold!)

And maybe memories of Sweety's trip when we have some in mind !

See you soon for more orange drawings!
